The foreign-born population of the United States has now reached 44.5 million, accounting for 13.7 percent of all people living in the USA (as of 2017), according to an analysis of US Census Bureau data. This is the largest foreign-born population to live in America in more than a century! Since 2010, 80% of new immigrants relocating to the United States came from Asia and Latin America; however, half of the immigrants currently living in the United States are from Latin America, while 31% are originally from Asia.
